Refunds and Returns Policy

At Lockpicked, we stand behind every authentic Lishi® tool we sell. This policy covers returns, exchanges, refunds, and damaged items — clearly, so there are no surprises.


1. Return Eligibility

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, the item must:

  • Be unused and undamaged — Lishi tools must not have been inserted into any lock
  • Be in its original packaging with all included accessories
  • Include the original order number or proof of purchase

Non-returnable items:

  • Tools that have been used (inserted into a lock, even once)
  • Items with broken or removed packaging seals
  • Clearance or final-sale items (marked as such at the time of purchase)
  • Tools with a bent, broken, or visibly damaged picking tip

⚠️ Lishi Tools are precision instruments. Even a single insertion into a lock can affect the tool’s accuracy and condition. This is why we require tools to be completely unused. If the picking tip is bent or broken in use, the tool is not eligible for return or replacement.

2. How to Start a Return

  1. Contact us at hello@lockpicked.com with your order number, the item(s) you want to return, and the reason for return
  2. We’ll respond within 24 hours with return instructions and the return address
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging
  4. Ship the item back using a trackable shipping method
  5. Keep your tracking number — we are not responsible for packages we never receive

3. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 3–5 business days), we’ll notify you whether your refund was approved or rejected.

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method
  • Refund processing time: 5–7 business days after approval
  • The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider

Restocking fee:

  • A 20% restocking fee applies to non-defective returns
  • No restocking fee if the item arrived defective or we shipped the wrong product — we’ll issue a full refund or send a replacement at no cost to you

Return shipping costs:

  • Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped or defective upon arrival)
  • If we cover the return shipping, we’ll provide a prepaid return label

4. Exchanges

If you need to exchange an item for a different Lishi tool model:

  1. Contact us at hello@lockpicked.com with your order number
  2. We’ll confirm availability of the replacement model
  3. Return the original item following the same process above
  4. Once received and inspected, we’ll ship the replacement

Return shipping for exchanges is the buyer’s responsibility unless the original item was defective or incorrect.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

If your tool arrives damaged or defective:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  2. Include clear photos of the damage or defect
  3. We’ll respond within 24 hours

Resolution options:

  • 🔄 Free replacement — we’ll ship a new tool at no cost
  • 💰 Full refund — including a prepaid return label if needed

No restocking fee, no return shipping charge — the damage is on us.

6. Wrong Item Received

If you receive an item different from what you ordered:

  • Contact us immediately with photos of the item you received
  • We’ll ship the correct item right away
  • We’ll provide a prepaid return label for the wrong item
  • No restocking fee applies

7. Lost or Stolen Return Packages

If your package is lost or stolen during return shipping:

  • We are not responsible for packages lost in transit back to us
  • Always use a trackable and insured shipping method when returning items
  • Keep your tracking number until the package is confirmed received

8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund within the expected timeframe:

  • Double-check your bank account or payment provider first — refunds can take 3–7 business days to appear
  • Contact your credit card company or bank — there may be a posting delay on their end
  • If you’ve checked both and still haven’t received it after 14 business days, contact us at hello@lockpicked.com

9. Shipping Address Issues

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, we will contact you to arrange re-shipment. Additional shipping fees will apply. We are not responsible for packages that cannot be delivered due to address errors.

10. Policy Exceptions

We reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy at our sole discretion, particularly for loyal customers with a history of successful purchases. If you believe your situation warrants special consideration, contact us — we’ll always listen.
